There are so many people out there who go on and on about how we can have peace and harmony "if only we would try." Yet to me, it seems that we can't help it.
I mean, how is it that you can despise an ex so much? How is it that a person can feel that for somebody they once loved? I'd say it's terrible, but really I think it's just life. It's just something we do because it's what we feel that we should do.
So perhaps we don't really hate people at all. Maybe we only hate the things they do; and, when we say we hate somebody, we are really just hating their actions. Yet people, in reality, are their actions, whether those actions are based on intent or not. What difference does it make whether a person has a good heart or not, if they can't show it?
So perhaps what we really hate is a person's inability to show how good they are. We hate that barrier inside of them that filters out the good intentions we all have and leaves only the carelessness. We hate they pain they cause us, we hate the carelessness they show in their actions, and we hate ourselves for allowing it to hurt.
